FAQ

Answers before your first visit.

How long does treatment take?

Your first visit runs about an hour, including a full assessment. Follow-up sessions are typically shorter, around 15 minutes, though this varies with your condition.

How long until I feel better?

Recovery timelines vary based on the condition itself, how long you've had it, and how consistently you follow through on any home exercises your chiropractor recommends.

How often will I need to come in?

A typical course runs six to eight visits over three to four weeks, though every case is assessed individually — your chiropractor will walk you through your specific plan.

Is treatment painful?

Adjustments are chosen with your comfort in mind. Chronic or more severe cases may bring brief, mild discomfort, but real relief usually follows quickly.

Am I too old for chiropractic care?

Age isn't a barrier. Adjustment techniques are adapted for patients of any age, including children, older adults, and anyone managing conditions like osteoporosis.

How many sessions will I need in total?

It depends on severity. A simple, recent case of low back pain might resolve in 3–6 visits, while a longer-standing condition may need 6–12, with periodic follow-up to maintain progress.

What happens after my treatment course ends?

Many patients choose ongoing periodic visits to maintain what they've achieved and catch new issues early — similar to a routine dental checkup. It's entirely optional, never obligatory.

What's that popping sound during an adjustment?

It's a small, harmless pressure change releasing a bubble of gas within the joint space. It isn't a sign that anything is wrong, and it doesn't hurt.

Will it hurt?

Properly performed adjustments aren't painful. If a muscle is already in acute spasm, there may be some brief tenderness — your chiropractor will let you know if that's likely in your case.

What's the difference between chiropractic and osteopathy?

The two professions differ somewhat in technique and approach, though both are regulated fields. What matters most is choosing a properly qualified, registered practitioner.

Is it safe, even if I've already had surgery?

Yes, when performed by a qualified chiropractor. Your chiropractor is trained to recognize when a condition needs referral elsewhere, and can still treat you following prior surgery.

"Our mission is to extend healthcare to the poor and needy through affordable, expert chiropractic care — and to equip every patient with the knowledge to take an active role in their own recovery."
